We are excited to announce that we have recently updated our monthly themes based on client engagement, interest, and feedback. These changes aim to better address the needs and interests of our youth and young adults.

November: Managing Relationships
|
November's theme has shifted from Networking to Managing Relationships. Building and maintaining healthy relationships is crucial for personal and professional success. Through various activities and discussions, we help our clients understand the dynamics of relationships, develop effective communication skills, and foster mutual respect and support.
|
|
December: Conflict Management
|
December's theme is now Conflict Management. Learning how to handle conflicts constructively is essential for maintaining harmony in both personal and professional settings. We provide tools and strategies to help our clients navigate disagreements, find common ground, and resolve issues peacefully.

- March: Originally focused on Product & Service Management, March will now be dedicated to Self-Discovery, a theme our clients thoroughly enjoyed in October.
- June: Previously about General Management, June will now cover Business Basics, combining topics such as Benefits & Insurance, Product & Service Management, General Management, and Basic Understanding of Legal Documents.

We are excited to announce an open seat on the Board of Directors for our nonprofit, House-Raising, dedicated to supporting at-risk youth involved in the legal system. As a startup organization that began serving youth in June 2024, we are looking for a passionate and committed individual to help us grow and make a significant impact in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area.
|
- Actively participate in board meetings and organizational planning.
- Assist in fundraising efforts and securing grants/contracts.
- Leverage personal and professional networks to support the nonprofit's growth.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the organization meets its goals.
- Advocate for the nonprofit's mission and programs within the community.
- Previous board experience (preferred).
- Strong background in fundraising and donor relations.
- Local to the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area.
- Passionate about our cause and committed to making a difference.
- Able to utilize their network to benefit the organization.

Give to the Max Day 2024!
|
We are thrilled to share the success of our participation in Give to the Max Day 2024! This annual event is a celebration of generosity, bringing together tens of thousands of donors from Minnesota and around the world to support nonprofits and schools across the state. This year, Give to the Max Day raised a record-breaking $37 million for 6,556 organizations, each donation representing a vote of confidence in the important work being done.

We are incredibly grateful to have raised $1,005 during this event, an increase from the $740 we raised last year in our first year of participation. We also saw an increase in the number of donors, with 5 more people contributing this year. These funds will be directed towards our insurance costs, which are essential for our operations. Insurance allows us to meet with clients, maintain our office space—a safe haven where clients feel comfortable being themselves—and stay in good standing for applying for grants and contracts. Currently, insurance is our most significant expense, totaling around $3,200 annually, followed by our office rental costs at just over $2,600 annually.
