A Message from the Founder

Welcome back, welcome back!

As we wrapped up our first full year of direct youth services, I’m proud to share how far we’ve come—and how your support continues to shape our journey. From launching our Holistic Diversion program to seeing our first youth graduate and begin planning a business, this year has been full of growth, learning, and impact.

I’m also honored to share that I was recently recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for my work in the fields of Mental Health and Legal Reform. There is a current article in the works highlighting my work as a industry leader that will come out soon. This acknowledgment reflects the heart and hustle behind my life mission—and the incredible community that supports me and makes it possible.

Diving Deeper

📈 First Year of Impact: Holistic Diversion in Action

From June 2024 to June 2025, House-Raising completed its first full year of direct youth services through our flagship program, Holistic Diversion. This milestone marked a powerful beginning to our mission of supporting at-risk youth through restorative justice and early intervention.
Here’s what we accomplished in our first year:
  • 84% program attendance from our youth participant
  • 90–95% reduction in problem behaviors
  • Significant improvement in school attendance
  • Engagement in extracurriculars like theater and choir
  • Participation in hands-on learning: pottery, CPR/First Aid, and digital safety
  • Leadership in a community fundraiser for The Trevor Project
A client not only graduated from the program but is now preparing to launch a small business—and has expressed interest in becoming a Youth Advisor to help guide future participants.

This first year laid the foundation for what’s possible when youth are given the tools, support, and opportunities to thrive.

A Call to Action

💛 Give to the Max Day 2025

We’re participating in Give to the Max Day (GTMD25) on November 20, with early giving starting November 1!

This year, we’re aiming to raise $5,000 to cover critical early-year expenses and grow our impact. Every donation helps us serve more youth and build a stronger foundation for the future.

💡 Facing Funding Challenges, Together
Like many nonprofits, House-Raising is navigating a changing funding landscape. Recent shifts in federal support have made it harder for small organizations to sustain essential services for at-risk youth. But we remain committed—and with your help, we’re finding new ways to grow.

🌱 Expand Your Impact
We’re proud to be registered with Benevity, NPOconnect, and Thrivent, making it easier than ever to support our mission. Whether you give through your workplace, a donor-advised fund, or directly, your contribution helps us continue our vital work.

💛 Your Support Matters
Every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Consider becoming a monthly donor, joining the small but mighty group of supporters who help us stay consistent and resilient. Together, we can overcome funding barriers and continue building futures full of possibility.
